Keep your pets healthy AND fundraising for our school.

We've teamed up with the crew at My Rover to help our fundraising efforts through the Pets Of The School (POTS).

Sign your dog or cat up for regular flea and worm treatments at the same price you pay elsewhere and up to $5 from every box goes directly to your school every month.

Prices start at $26.99/m (or just $6.22/w), with all the profits sent directly back to our school.

Nau Mai, Harae Mai, Welcome to all.

We are a friendly, welcoming, full primary school providing high quality learning through the environment for children ranging from years 1-8. We are in a unique rural setting with plenty of room to explore.

Our school vision is ‘Nurtured by Nature, Responsive Learning Through Our Environment’ where we are focused on providing rich learning experiences by exploring the school and local environments. Using the Enviroschools action learning cycle, and guiding principles to underpin our practice, students are empowered to participate in meaningful ways in their community. Their unique perspectives and questions are valued and honoured. They feel connected to the whenua and support each other as a learning community to create meaningful change and hopeful action. Through this we weave numeracy and literacy into our learning, as well as through deliberate instructional teaching.

We have a bike track that runs along the perimeter of our school, as well as bikes and scooters for our students to ride throughout the day. No matter the weather, students are encouraged to get outside and explore. We have a set of wet weather gear for each child to make this possible.

At Tirohanga School, hybrid learning is a part of our learning. Students have access to 1-1 devices to assist in their learning, researching and recording, as well as presenting projects.

We believe in utilizing those around us who have wisdom and knowledge to help strengthen learning. If you feel you have something you can contribute towards our school, or learning, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We welcome all offers and look forward to working alongside you and your child.
