Sports

We make up the Pinelands cluster alongside our neighbouring schools, Whakamaru, Mangakino, and Marotiri. Pineland events bring our schools together for sporting such as Swimming Sports, Cross, Country, and Athletics Day. 

Other events include the junior dance competition and speeches.

KiwiSport come out to our school to share tasters of various sports with opportunities and contacts for children to join teams if they wish an extracurricular. Tasters we have had include rippa rugby, cricket, hockey, and touch.  

We have bikes and scooters in our school for our students to ride throughout the day. Cath from Bike Taupo also comes along to teach us lifelong biking skills, in school and also in our local environment.

Every year, we have swimwell teachers come to our school and teach our tamariki important swimming skills in our school swimming pool. 

We also attend other local activities such as the Tough Guy & Gal challenge and interschool cross country.
