Universal Design For Learning (UDL)

Check out this awesome video made by our RTLB, who were exploring what UDL is and looks like. They interviewed Tamariki from our school, and used their student voice to make this video. This is an excellent showcase of what learning looks like and sounds like in our school.

What is UDL?

Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a research-based framework that helps teachers plan learning to meet the diverse and variable needs
of all students.

At Tirohanga School, students are able to show their learning in a way that allows them to express their own personality and in a way that highlights their skills. By providing resources and teacher guidance students are able to find learning strategies that suit their learning style.
